Cette statue (Vierge à l'enfant, bois polychromé) accrochée au mur du musée des "Cloisters"provient de la cathédrale de Strasbourg...Je m'attendais à la retrouver ici, car en 2002, pendant l'exposition temporaire "Iconoclames" au musée de l'Oeuvre-Notre-Dame de Strasbourg, je l'avais longuement dessinée...et avait noté qu'elle était de retour provisoirement....de New York, qui l'avait rappatriée pour l'occasion. L'enfant Jésus qu'elle tenait initialement fut détruit.Les retrouvailles furent chargées d'émotion.

This statue of the Cloisters museum is coming from Strasbourg's cathedral. I knew this statue for a while, because she was back from New York in 2002 for a temporary exhibition in Strasbourg calling "Iconoclasms". At this occasion, i drew her during hours. I noticed that she will return in New York after the exhibition. So when i visited the "Cloisters" today, i expected to see her, but it was a real emotion...
